Founded in 1986 by Gilbert Vas, our journey began in a modest 250 sq ft shop after he returned from Mumbai, where he had worked with Philips Coffee & Tea. With determination, skill, and a vision for quality craftsmanship, he started the business with just one stitching machine and one helper, focusing on delivering reliable cushion and upholstery work to the local community. About us

Founded in 1986 by Gilbert Vas, our journey began in a modest 250 sq ft shop after he returned from Mumbai, where he had worked with Philips Coffee & Tea. With determination, skill, and a vision for quality craftsmanship, he started the business with just one stitching machine and one helper, focusing on delivering reliable cushion and upholstery work to the local community. Over the years, his dedication helped build a strong foundation rooted in trust, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

 

As demand grew, the business expanded in 2004, introducing a wider range of products such as rexines, foam, and fabrics, and increasing the workspace to 500 sq ft. This marked the beginning of a more diverse offering, allowing customers to explore better choices and elevating the capabilities of the shop beyond basic upholstery services.

 

In 2016, the second generation, Glevison Sanil Vas, entered the business with a fresh vision and modern approach. Bringing new ideas, updated processes, and a stronger design-centric mindset, he transformed the company from a traditional upholstery shop into a complete soft-furnishing brand. This transition introduced advanced materials, contemporary styling, and broader product ranges, aligning the business with the evolving needs of homes and commercial spaces.

 

Today, after decades of continuous evolution, we proudly serve a wide spectrum of clients — builders, hotels, hospitals, IT spaces, and premium residences — offering tailored solutions that blend aesthetics, comfort, and durability. Our reputation has grown through consistent quality, personalized service, and a commitment to delivering the finest in soft furnishings.

 

And now, with nearly ten years of experience driving the brand forward, we have come up with something truly special — our very own Experience Centre, Luxora Furnishing.
